Just a short note for a special someone..
I didn't think Valentine's this year was a big deal.. surprisingly! Last year we did something special for Valentine's. Not wanting to feed the commercialisation of Vday, we kept to our budget of $20 - or at least tried not spend above $20!
So, this year, we agreed to not do anything for Valentine's... or so I thought! After work, Jem waited for me at my office and he brought me to Sirocco for a nice dinner. It was a cosy and sweet affair and totally unexpected! I was already really happy when I got his email asking me to meet him at my office lobby... I also panicked coz all I did for him was write a HUGE card! (at least it was pretty big! hee)
After dinner, we took a long walk to the Melbourne cultural center for Shout! the musical. It was really entertaining but we felt like we were really out of place. Shout ! is about this Aussie rock star whose career peaked in the 1930s! So you can imagine, the crowd's average age group was around the 50s to 60s range!! But it was a really fun night and we totally enjoyed ourselves!
